Fostering Advisor

ISP is a pioneering foster care agency that has been supporting looked-after children and their families for years. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing a therapeutic approach to fostering, which focuses on the child's needs and well-being.
Role OverviewThe Fostering Advisor will play a critical role in supporting our foster parents and children. This includes providing advice and information on services and support available through ISP, as well as coordinating training and other activities.
Key Responsibilities- Regular phone contact with foster parents to discuss progress and share ideas
- Home visits to foster families, agreed with the ISP Social Worker and Registered Manager
- Providing foster parents with information and advice on support and services available through ISP and the Fostering Network
- Coordinating training for foster parents
- Supporting children and young people in their leisure activities
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records
- Understanding of Fostering regulations and standards
- Some first-hand knowledge or experience of Fostering
- Previous experience or a willingness to work in a therapeutic model of child care
- Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience of using spreadsheets and databases
