About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner / GIS Specialist to join our London office. As a key member of our Design Technology team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business activities through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize existing tools and data to perform spatial analytics in GIS, providing valuable insights to inform our design and planning decisions.
  • Support the wider Design Technology team in understanding the role of GIS in supporting business activities, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
  • Provide technical coordination and development related to strategic planning, regulatory frameworks, technical standards, and information management.
  • Review project documents, including schedules, surveys, and deliverables, to deliver technical services and ensure project success.
  • Lead, manage, and communicate the technical aspects related to GIS deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support project leaders in technical communication with clients, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Interpret and apply government codes, ordinances, and regulations to ensure compliance and project success.
  • Assist with updates and file coordination of structure plans, transportation networks, utility corridors, and land development regulations.
  • Offer end-user support and guidance on GIS systems and processes, ensuring user satisfaction and productivity.
  • Create and manage CAD/GIS workflows, streamlining project delivery and improving efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrable experience in town planning, preferably within the Middle East.
  • Proven expertise in delivering successful planning projects, with a strong track record of achievement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in planning software and GIS tools, with a strong understanding of spatial analysis and data visualization.
  • Rhino and AutoCAD are desirable, but not essential.
