Job Title: Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse SpecialistJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Oncology to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with acute oncology needs, as well as leading and developing the acute oncology service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with acute oncology needs, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex cases.
  • Lead and develop the acute oncology service, including service improvement and change management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care for patients with acute oncology needs.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in acute oncology.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to acute oncology care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as oncology or palliative care.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in acute oncology or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
