Job Description

Job Summary

The Training Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and directing the personnel resource of the apprentice program across all Bosch brands to ensure day-to-day operational efficiency, adherence to targets, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personnel Management
    • Manage and direct the personnel resource of the apprentice program across all Bosch brands
    • Support and direct the recruitment team in the promotion and filling of apprenticeship vacancies
    • Carry out performance reviews of associates to drive and maintain individual and team performance levels
    • Identify and assess the future and current training needs and CPD of all program staff through skills matrices, job analysis, and performance appraisals against KPIs
  • Customer and Program Management
    • Manage all apprenticeship training program performance, utilizing Power BI, Smart Assessor, and all other relevant LMS reporting mechanisms to fulfill client requirements and contract KPIs
    • Ensure apprentice program structure and delivery methods meet Ofsted Education Inspection Framework requirements and all other aspects necessary to preserve and maximize government funding
    • Work collaboratively with brands, dealer networks, and internal/external stakeholders to manage and maintain vehicle training fleets, ensuring correct and suitable vehicles for training delivery and End Point Assessment requirements
    • Manage the effective development and implementation of the apprenticeship training curricula, in line with client requirements and current apprenticeship standards
    • Evaluate training program effectiveness through analysis of feedback survey data and regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial Management
    • Support the recruitment team in all required actions to maximize apprentice recruitment and retention
    • Support the administration teams in the forecasting of the required apprenticeship numbers for each program
    • Effective management of apprenticeship program attendance, progression, retention, and timely achievement, in line with internal and external benchmarks
    • Control and delegate all elements necessary for the support and delivery of technical and apprenticeship programs in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with the Funding and Apprentice Program Manager to ensure a holistic and collaborative approach to the Apprentice Programs offered
    • Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all self-assessment, quality improvement, and assurance activities are managed and supported appropriately across all programs, in accordance with Bosch and Ofsted requirements
    • Work collaboratively with the Curriculum Development Manager to design, develop, and implement highly effective and inclusive training delivery methodologies and resources
