As a Fire Safety Assurance Manager at Michael Page, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation meets its legal, moral, and financial duties in terms of fire safety matters and risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement local small activities and actions to meet the wider Fire Safety Strategy and Risk Management Framework.
  • Deliver professional advice to design strategies that scrutinise and provide assurance across organisational activities and services impacted by fire safety.
  • Provide frameworks and monitoring to ensure compliance with legal, moral, and financial duties to staff and residents in terms of fire safety matters.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing robust challenges when required and diplomacy and tact to ensure delivery of remedial actions.
  • Ensure the organisation meets its legal, moral, and financial duties in building portfolios as a Responsible Person/Accountable Person.
  • Support 'Duty Holder' responsibilities and work with stakeholders to promote compliance.
  • Monitor and deliver effective systems for vulnerable residents including the delivery of PCFRA's/PEEPs.
  • Promote Fire Safety Assurance through proactive monitoring and support as subject matter experts to provide assurance of operational staff practices.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and enable Fire Safety Assurance Officers to ensure high performance and successful delivery of Fire Safety programmes.

About the Role:

  • Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of Fire Safety and application in social housing, building construction, and/or repairs and maintenance environments.
  • You will have significant expertise in legislation, regulation, policy, and best practice surrounding Fire Safety, with demonstrable audit and assurance experience.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and demonstrate a 'can do' attitude to issues with evidence of problem-solving skills and a solution-focused attitude.
