Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits, including:

Job Description

As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients via face-to-face visits, phone calls, and other platforms. Your primary goal will be to identify and resolve customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner, while also providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing customer concerns or questions to quickly understand their pain points and provide suitable resolutions
  • Providing technical support to customers through various channels, including onsite visits, phone calls, and digital communication
  • Establishing best practices for technical account management and collaborating with the internal sales team to resolve customer issues and promote knowledge sharing
  • Defining products for a range of applications and supporting application replication
  • Driving key application areas to support business growth and future product development

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in technical support, field service, or engineering roles within the industrial automation sector
  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) would be advantageous, but not essential
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical support, field service, or engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and related automation technologies
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with customers both verbally and in writing
