Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator sits within the Global Business Services Hire 2 Retire team, working closely with various stakeholders and service providers, both internal and external. This role involves influencing the GBS system and data strategies, requiring a flexible approach to various activities, such as contributing to projects and demands, regular annual activity, and technical problem-solving across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Upskill on various topics covering employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, technical support, end-to-end query handling, and payroll processing activities.
• Provide proactive support to assist the smooth running of the service line, ensuring customer service excellence is at the forefront of all that you do.
• Be responsible for your own workload as well as that of the team by taking ownership of case work and tasks.
• Maintain process documentation and review regularly.
• Seek ways to improve both yourself and process activity and champion various topics, whether BAU or project related.
• Support colleagues and promote a one-team mentality.
• Analyze and resolve technical system queries and/or error reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager from time to time.
• Support various projects where HR systems are affected, representing the department, working independently, and providing valuable ideas and input.
• Participate in training activities, including programs to support the use of new technologies.
• Input to/identify operational efficiencies related to the GBS systems and processes.
Requirements:
• Experience with Workday HR system and/or other payroll system.
• Experience of working within a Shared Service or Bureau style environment.
• Working independently to manage key activity, prioritizing, and remaining calm under pressure.
• Understanding of the employee life cycle/administration processes and experience of payroll processing.
