About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our UK plant and drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong operational leadership background, gained in a progressive, medium volume, plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute the strategic operational direction of the UK plant, including the implementation of a long-term productivity strategy.
  2. Manage the Production, Engineering, Fabrication, Quality, HSE, and Supply Chain Teams.
  3. Analyse and drive the operational performance of the plant.
  4. Champion quality excellence and right first-time methodology.
  5. Manage capex, plant development, and budgetary/financial reporting.
  6. Recruit and develop new team members to build succession planning and add additional skills to the business.
  7. Champion and cultivate an accountable and agile culture.
  8. Collaborate across the wider container division group to create and implement best practices.
Requirements
  1. A plastic injection moulding background, operating at site leadership level.
  2. Proven management experience in leading a manufacturing operation with a track record in strategic manufacturing, change management, policies, processes, and systems.
  3. A proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service and quality standards.
  4. Expertise in delivering benchmark OTIF performance gained within a high-volume manufacturing business.
  5. Proven track record in delivering complex projects and organizational transformations on time and on budget.
  6. A 'can do' structured attitude, and a 'hands-on' approach when required, with well-developed leadership, motivational, and man management skills.
  7. Sound analytical ability with reasoned, well-balanced, and calculated decision-making qualities.
What We Offer

A competitive salary of £80,000 to £90,000 plus car, bonus, and benefits.
