Job Title: Apprentice Mechanic

Oldham Council is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Fleet Management Department as an Apprentice Mechanic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles and plant to the required standards in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain vehicles and plant to the required standards.
  • Progress through training and college attendance to become a fully qualified HGV mechanic.
Requirements:
  • Be over the age of 18.
  • Have the ability to repair and maintain vehicles and plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Have good timekeeping and attendance.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions.
