About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supported living service, providing person-centred care to individuals with sensory needs and complex care requirements. The role involves supporting customers with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes. You will also be responsible for escorting and assisting customers in and around the service, as well as attending external events and appointments.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, and a willingness to work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families. A background in personal care is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
- Escort and assist customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
- Support customers to achieve their individual aspirations, promoting maximum independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Flexibility and creativity when working with customers and their families.
- Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours or participate in an on-call rota when required.
