Primary SEN Tutor Position
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN teacher to join our team at an outstanding special school in Streatham, London.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching primary-aged children with severe learning difficulties, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Job Description- Develop and implement personalized educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes social and emotional growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development.
- Lead a support team within the classroom to provide seamless support.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ASD/SLD and its implications on education.
- Experience working in a special needs education setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
Estimated Salary: £52,000 - £72,000 per year
