About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Siemens Mobility. As a key member of our support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling stock fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to our customers, including on-site and off-site assistance, incident response, and rolling stock maintenance.
  • Monitor train defects, conduct advanced fault finding, and produce detailed technical reports to identify performance improvements.
  • Act as the Siemens representative on shift, supporting the Operator's maintenance staff and mentoring team members.
  • Attend off-depot meetings and liaise with Siemens departments to support technical investigations and contract delivery.
  • Record and report on Operational Safety incidents and suggest countermeasures for defect trends.
  • Perform audits, performance analysis, and stores/materials support as needed, and deputize for the line manager if required.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering qualification or experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Rolling Stock systems / procedures including schematics, fault finding techniques, and download analysis.
  • Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
  • Someone who understands and cares for tools, equipment, and PPE as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • Ability to fault-find using a number of different methods including diagnostic software.
  • Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications.
  • Ability to produce detailed analytical technical reports.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
