Job Summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Physical Health Psychology Service in Paediatrics. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with medical consultants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to provide comprehensive care to children and families.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is ideal for experienced clinicians or newly qualified psychologists looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, applying a biopsychosocial approach to assessment and treatment. Our team utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, psychodynamic, attachment, humanistic, and 3rd wave approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for children and families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist with post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology. Essential qualifications include HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status, evidence of continuing professional development, and training in clinical supervision. Desirable qualifications include registration with the British Psychological Society and experience of joint working with statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies.
