About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sales Director to join our team at StoneX Group. As a Managing Director, Corporate FX, you will be responsible for managing and growing our FX sales & trading operations within the corporate sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Construct and execute sophisticated hedging strategies that align with client risk profiles and trading objectives.
  • Trade Execution and Sales: Execute FX trades efficiently while maintaining a strong sales approach to ensure client satisfaction and portfolio growth.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate lasting relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their trading needs are met with the highest standard of service.
  • Market and Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Keep abreast of market changes, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to ensure compliance and inform trading strategies.
  • Strategic Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate with senior management, providing regular updates and detailed reports on trading strategies, market insights, and overall progress.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements relevant to FX trading. Continuously monitor and update personal knowledge and practices to remain compliant with current laws and company procedures, thereby safeguarding the organisation against legal risks and maintaining high standards of corporate governance.
  • Commercial Oversight: Take a proactive role in the commercial success of the Commercial FX trading operations by identifying revenue-generating opportunities and implementing strategies that enhance profitability. Continuously assess and adjust trading activities to align with market conditions and company financial goals, ensuring optimal performance and growth of the FX division.
  • Regulatory Framework: Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment affecting FX trading in the UK and globally, ensuring all trading activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Experience managing a substantial book of business, with proven success in client retention and business growth through effective FX trading solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications in financial markets or trading would be advantageous.
  • Experience: Several years of experience on an FX trading desk at a bank or large financial institution, with a subsequent transition into a sales-oriented role, demonstrating a blend of trading acumen and sales expertise.
  • Skills: Exceptional ability to balance sales and trading tasks, demonstrating expertise in negotiating and closing deals while managing complex trades. Strong communication and client service skills, capable of effectively managing client expectations and building professional relationships. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to devise and implement complex trading strategies based on client needs and market conditions.
