BMW Quality Assurance Engineer

As a BMW Group intern, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our engine manufacturing facility. The plant is located just outside Birmingham, UK, and produces state-of-the-art engines for BMW and MINI vehicles.
About the RoleThis 13-month placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a modern mass production environment. You will work closely with the Launch Specialists and Prototype Build team to coordinate, track, and report on special engine builds. Your tasks will include recording special parts used, results of quality tests, generating reports, and monitoring Bill of Material status.
You will also support the preparation of weekly meetings and project management reviews, as well as monitor the first build of new engine part numbers in the engine assembly line and produce necessary documentation.
Requirements- Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree in Engineering, aiming for a 2:2 or above.
- Excellent PC skills with Microsoft Office experience.
- A quality mindset and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of German is beneficial.
We provide a competitive annual salary of £24,950, 26 days holiday per annum (pro rata), and an attractive pension scheme. Our working hours are 39 per week, with a half day on Friday, allowing for a fulfilling work-life balance.
