About the Role:

Black Fox Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our client's engineering team, based in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and construction of new and refurbishment projects related to the inland waterway system, from feasibility through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys, inspections, and evaluations of potential projects, followed by report writing.
• Prepare feasibility studies, designs, drawings, tenders, and contract documents.
• Supervise site works and contribute to the delivery of capital works and maintenance programs.
• Assist in managing and monitoring projects within budget, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Environmental Management:

The successful candidate will collaborate with environmental bodies to agree on environmental requirements, ensure environmental legislation and directives are considered in project designs, and understand relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation.

Strategic Contributions:

The Civil Engineer will assist in the development and implementation of organisational policies, strategies, and standards, provide information for financial and progress reporting on projects under their control, and foster productive working relationships with engineering team members and other sections within the organisation.
