About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT professional to join Bodycote's IT team as an Operations Technical Engineer – Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving technical issues and requests in line with defined ITIL-based processes and agreed business service levels.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Resolve technical issues and requests in accordance with ITIL-based processes and agreed business service levels.
  • Manage the daily operation of Bodycote's infrastructure, covering technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Servers/OS & Storage, Backup, Email, WAN/LAN, Security, Internet, Remote Access, and Thin Client.
  • Collaborate with global Bodycote IT resources to provide support to over 3,400 IT users across more than 165 locations worldwide.
  • Contribute to new and ongoing Business As Usual (BAU) IT projects to enhance and improve the Bodycote infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a 3rd line support or similar role
  • Strong technical background covering Active Directory, Exchange 2016, Exchange Online, Office 365, Azure Services, Remote Desktop, and Terminal Services
  • Experience with Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco technologies
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2003 through 2022
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, and Switches)
  • Familiarity with backup technologies, including cloud-hosted services and on-premises appliances
  • Experience working with cloud-hosted IT services
  • Knowledge of antivirus technologies
  • Working understanding of the ITIL framework
