We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at RecRight Ltd. As a Workshop Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our workshop, maintaining high levels of productivity, and providing technical support to our team members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into and supporting the Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
  • Maintaining a professional workshop environment by ensuring the upkeep of machinery and tools.
  • Installing a 'right first time' mentality with direct reports, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Providing technical support during training, MOT testing, and other technical activities.
  • Ensuring team compliance with processes to ensure accurate recording and invoicing.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and security in the workshop, setting a positive example for team members.
  • Liaising with the Service department to ensure customer satisfaction and manage any complaints that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Experience within the automotive industry, with a strong background in workshop operations.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff, with a focus on developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge of the LCV/HGV industry, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • IT literacy, with proficiency in using various software applications.
  • Confidence and assertiveness, with the ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
