Human Factors Specialist

As a Human Factors Specialist, you will support the Lead HFI Specialist in integrating Human Factors into the TRINITY design process. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that user needs are met and that the system is safe and effective.
You will engage with end-user groups and stakeholders through workshops, trials, and User-Centred Design activities. This will involve conducting analyses such as allocation of function, task analysis, and usability assessments to identify areas for improvement.
You will also evaluate prototypes and mock-ups of TRINITY hardware and software solutions to ensure that they meet user needs and are safe to use. Additionally, you will contribute to customer deliverables by producing detailed reports.
Qualifications & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related field. You will also need to be registered with the Chartered Institute of Human Factors (or equivalent eligibility).
At least five years of Human Factors experience in the defence or safety-critical sectors is required. You will also need to have a proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams on complex system integration projects.
Additional InformationThis role requires attendance at the BAES Christchurch office three days a week. You will be working on a project that requires the integration of Human Factors into the TRINITY design process.
