Job Title: Medical Staffing HR Manager

We are seeking an experienced Medical Staffing HR Manager to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. This role will provide specialist support and advice to managers and staff within the Trust, working closely with the Head of Medical Staffing and Senior Management team to support the delivery of the wider HR Strategy and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the expert in medical staffing employment issues providing expert advice to HR team members and Managers.
  • Lead on the Medical Workforce Establishment Project, reviewing the Medical Establishment for all Divisions.
  • Provide flexible and proactive support to the Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Medical Directors, Clinical Directors, and Medical Leads.
  • Provide senior level expertise and guidance on all medical and dental policies and employment law changes.
  • Ensure excellent communications and governance arrangements are in place.
  • Provide support to the Joint Local Negotiating Committee, developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Produce timely reports and contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators relating to medical staffing.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate CIPD or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Educated to degree or higher education equivalent.

This role is based in Hatfield and is envisaged to be on a Bank contract, but fixed-term secondment will be considered. The post holder will be responsible for implementing changes to national contracts, providing specialist advice on salary, funding, and budgetary issues, and ensuring compliance with financial management arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in NHS Medical Staffing, providing effective front-line customer service, and working with the BMA. They will also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products and an understanding of Employee Relations processes as they apply to the medical workforce.
