Job Overview
As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents. We are seeking a passionate and skilled chef who can work collaboratively with our Head Chef to create nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Chef in menu development and implementation
• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality food production
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards
• Create a warm, efficient, and fun environment that promotes teamwork and excellence
• Manage stock control and complete regular audits to maintain high standards of food safety and quality

Requirements
• A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
• A good understanding of nutrition and the ability to create appetising and nutritious menus
• Experience of working with fresh seasonal food and a good understanding of HACCP
