Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Second Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  • Assist Head Chef in menu development
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Manage stock control and complete regular audits
Requirements
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent in culinary arts
  • Good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
