Job Title: Financial Controller Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller Assistant to join our team at Michael Page in North Kent.

As a Financial Controller Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller with managing the outputs of the Accounting team.

The successful candidate will have a formal qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA and experience in management accounting and statutory accounting within a compliance-focused environment.

You will be required to prepare monthly management accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, review payments and bank instructions, and manage statutory audit processes.

The salary range for this role is estimated to be between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, including generous holiday leave, employer pension contribution, and enhanced maternity & paternity provisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller in managing the Accounting team's outputs
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review payments and bank instructions for approval
  • Manage statutory audit processes, liaising with auditors and compiling working papers
