Category Development Manager

Valeo Foods UK is a leading manufacturer of premium food products, with a portfolio of beloved brands that span indulgence, innovation, and tradition. Our products are enjoyed by consumers across the UK, and we're committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
The Category Development Manager will play a critical role in driving commercial results for our brands and private label products. This field-based role will require frequent travel to customer sites, including Wallingford, Heanor, Pontefract, and Norwich. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of FMCG category management and be able to build collaborative relationships with retailers to influence their decisions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category management strategies to drive commercial growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform category management decisions and optimize product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category management plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in FMCG category management.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retailers and customers.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites.
