Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Generator Engineer to join our team as a Welfare Unit Technician.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, and repair of our welfare units and generators.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and diagnosing defects in welfare units and generators
  • Servicing and repairing electrical systems, running gear, and towing equipment
  • Attending scheduled and reactive maintenance calls on customer sites or in depots
  • Conducting electrical testing and refurbishing units as required
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workshop and adhering to health and safety procedures

Requirements:

You must have significant experience in mechanical fitting or generator maintenance, with relevant industry certifications.

A full clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.

You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
