Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Depot Supervisor to join our dynamic team at HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists. As a Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of depot staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the depot, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of depot staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Multi-tasking: Oversee multiple tasks and responsibilities, ensuring all operations are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Health and Safety: Enforce and maintain health and safety standards across all depot activities.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage inventory, equipment, and resources to ensure efficient depot functioning.
  • On-Call Rota: Participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside of regular working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Handle physical tasks and responsibilities, including manual labor and equipment management.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a flexible and forward-thinking individual who is a good leader and people manager. The ideal candidate will have a plant hire background, working outside or inside, supervising a team, and ensuring good health, safety, and individual well-being.

Requirements:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to handle physical tasks and responsibilities, including manual labor and equipment management.
  • Full Driving License: A full driving license with no more than 6 points is required.
