About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Consultant to join our team at Harnham, a leading boutique consultancy. As a Wholesale IRB Modeller, you will play a key role in developing and implementing credit risk models for our clients in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain IRB and IFRS9 models for wholesale clients, focusing on PD, LGD, and EAD.
  • Conduct stress testing, ICAAP, and ILAAP reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead analytical deep-dives into model performance and statistical trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver end-to-end projects, taking ownership and driving results.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to contribute to business strategy and drive growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in IRB model development, with a strong understanding of wholesale lending.
  • Expertise in SAS, SQL, or Python, with a solid academic background in a numerical subject.
  • Desirable: wider regulatory knowledge and experience in the financial services sector.
