About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN/SEND tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd. As an Academic Learning Specialist, you will work with children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with complex learning needs.
  • Develop and implement holistic and engaging sessions that meet the individual needs of each young person.
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes a competitive hourly rate, as well as benefits such as enhanced DBS assistance and access to extensive CPD opportunities.
