Job Title: Bookkeeper with VAT Compliance Expertise

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's successful Bookkeeping/Accounts team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a UK Accountancy Practice Firm environment and proficiency in accounting software, particularly Cloud packages such as Xero or QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for own portfolio to ensure all aspects of end-to-end processing of client bookkeeping is completed in preparation for VAT returns or management accounts
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns to HMRC within deadlines
  • Maintain strong client relationships through direct client contact in a professional manner
  • Keep up to date with key bookkeeping software

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a UK Accountancy Practice Firm environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Cloud packages such as Xero or QuickBooks
  • Strong interpersonal, client, and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
