We are now recruiting for a Practice Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our growing team

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks for various clients
- Reconciliation of Debtors and Creditors on quarterly basis for various clients
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare accurate and timeously book-keeping records up to trial balance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Assist with year-end accounts and tax preparation

**What we need from you**:

- Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of double entry book-keeping
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Please note that prior experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role is mandatory. A degree in accounting or a related field is also beneficial.
