Job Title: Regional Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Regional Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the region, ensuring that all depots are running efficiently and effectively. This will involve working closely with the Regional Manager and Depot Supervisors to meet objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all works conducted within our depots are undertaken with full regard for the safety of employees, colleagues, and clients.
  • Monitor daily stock-taking of all equipment in the region and ensure that Supervisors are allocating equipment for future hires.
  • Assist Supervisors in arranging equipment repairs and monitor any Supervisor sickness/absence/lateness.
  • Complete site audits and depot visit forms.
  • Monitor depot compliance calendars and assist training managers with staff training requirements.
  • Review and approve/decline spares requests/SMI orders/Commercial orders.
  • Support teams and present yourself smartly and professionally for the team to follow.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in the management of depots or stores.
  • The ability to prioritize their own and the activities of others.
  • The ability to switch between tasks/projects.
  • The ability to effectively influence onsite work activities.
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • IT Literacy especially in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Full driving license with no more than 6 points.

Desirable Experience:

  • Basic electrical safety/Battery charging.
  • Worked within a Highways environment.
  • A basic knowledge of traffic light equipment.
  • CSCS cardholder.
  • Competent in driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.
  • Competent in the towing of a trailer with plant equipment loaded.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
  • City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in highway installations.
  • Sector 8 Accreditation, Health, and Safety qualifications, including NRSWA, G39, and ECS.

Requirements:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK and have no more than 6 points (preferably clean/no bans in the past).
