Delivering Exceptional Culinary Experiences

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join our Aether Hospitality Team at Manchester Airport. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality, consistency, and efficiency in preparing and executing dishes.

The Role:

  • Direct and oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and execution.
  • Manage and lead Commis Chefs in day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure proper stocks of food and supplies.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Implement and improve health and safety standards within the kitchen.
  • Prepare, cook, and deliver food according to menu agreements and Lounge Operating Procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with recipes and product directions for various foods.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and maintain storage, rotation, and waste disposal.
  • Conduct required stock checks, including temperature checks, as per schedules and complete documentation.
  • Collaborate with Commis Chefs and Senior Chefs to prepare foods for cooking.
  • Evaluate food offerings for presentation and quality, ensuring alignment with operating standards.
  • Aid in one-to-one training of new staff, including subcontracted supplier staff, to uphold high presentation, hospitality, and service standards.

About You:

  • NVQ Level 2 Commis Chef or C&G Food Production equivalent desirable.
  • Background in hospitality and service sectors with proven track record in delivering high-end experiences.
  • Similar role experience or working as a Commis Chef, ready for the next step.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills and techniques in food production.
  • Knowledge on handling and storing products to maintain quality and adhere to food safety legislation.
  • Solid background in hospitality and service sectors with proven track record in delivering high-end experiences.
  • Experience working independently, building solid relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to demonstrate a range of food preparation, knife, and cooking skills.
  • Team player with first-class customer service approach, able to brief and coach teams to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Understanding of supply chain management, sustainable procurement, and working practices in the kitchen.

Estimated salary: £14.75 per hour (including 17.5% shift allowance), approximately £30,100 per year based on full-time hours.
