Senior Practitioner Opportunity in Children's Social Care

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join their Family Support Team in Milton Keynes. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £47,573 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance to social workers and other professionals in complex cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Deliver high-quality social work assessments, care planning, and interventions in sensitive and complex cases, improving outcomes for children and families.
  • Supervise and mentor social workers, social work assistants, and students, ensuring they receive appropriate support and direction.
  • Resolve complex case management issues, taking timely and positive action to address risks and meet demands, in collaboration with Deputy/Team Managers.
  • Lead responsibility for area development and contribute to partnership working across Children's Services and partners, as required.
  • Assist the team in building a strong and cohesive team, providing on-call support for emergencies within their team or other teams.
  • Participate in quality audits, ensuring the team is updated on current practice, development guidance, legislation, and research, and develop policies and procedures as needed.
  • Assist in caseload allocation, prioritization, and planning, in conjunction with Deputy/Team Managers across the service.
