Opus People Solutions is a leading provider of care and education, seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) near Royston.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing safeguarding concerns and implementing policies that promote a culture of care and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance safeguarding and behaviour practices in line with CQC, Ofsted, and statutory guidelines.
  • Oversee the daily execution of safeguarding, behaviour, pastoral, and wellbeing policies, ensuring seamless implementation and effective communication.
  • Provide data-driven insights to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors, informing strategic decisions and driving improvement.
  • Design and deliver safeguarding and behaviour training for staff through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice.
  • Collaborate with parents/carers, staff, and external agencies to develop and implement intervention strategies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for residents and students.
  • Support the school business manager in audits and compliance reports, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
