The University of Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to contribute to the project Quantum Algorithms for Gravitational Wave Data Analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of the research project and develop new research directions in this emerging area;
  • Formulate and submit research publications and presentations;
  • Mentor PhD students and assist with managing the project as appropriate to career stage;

You will work closely with Prof Sarah Croke, Dr Fiona Speirits, and Dr Chris Messenger to carry out a programme of research under their supervision and collaborate on document research output. This includes maintaining records and databases, contributing to reports, papers, and presentations, and attending research seminars and conferences within the subject area.

We are looking for an individual with specialist knowledge of quantum algorithms or signal processing techniques applied to gravitational wave data analysis, who can demonstrate experience in scientific programming, data analysis, and publishing research results in international journals and at conferences.
