About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Producer and Editor to join our team at dmg:media. As an Executive Producer, you will be responsible for producing, editing, and shooting original shows designed for YouTube.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement content strategies to create engaging and informative shows that meet the needs of our audience.
  • Work closely with the senior producer/showrunner to set the direction of the show, contributing to conversations around development, episode ideas, and technical aspects of production.
  • Pitch episode ideas and continuously improve the quality of the show through data-driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in producing, editing, or shooting long-form videos.
  • Deep understanding of YouTube as a platform and its audience.
  • Excellent story sense and ability to assess pitches.
  • Strong communication and feedback skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the principles of good journalism.
