At SSEN Transmission, we are passionate about delivering secure power for generations to come. As a Marine Consents & Environment Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team working towards this goal by developing and consenting subsea cable infrastructure in Europe.

With a focus on biodiversity, you will lead on the development of marine habitat restoration projects, ensuring that our operations meet the highest environmental standards. Your experience in site selection, consenting, and installation processes will enable us to deliver complex projects successfully.

The successful candidate will have excellent written English skills, with the ability to write and review technical documents to a high professional standard. They will also be competent in drafting and reviewing reports and impact assessments, as well as commissioning and undertaking work to EIA standards.

We offer a competitive salary package of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus car / cash allowance, performance-related bonus, and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and consent subsea cable infrastructure in Europe
  • Interpret marine survey data, including bathymetry, side-scan sonar, and sub-bottom profiling
  • Communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders
  • Lead on the development of marine habitat restoration projects
