Job Description

As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing risk assessments, contributing to school development projects, and general maintenance schedules.

You will also demonstrate a hands-on approach to developing and implementing systems and procedures, while maintaining current ones.

A key aspect of this role is being sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding all aspects of the school and grounds.

  • Prepare and implement risk assessments
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to developing and implementing systems and procedures
  • Be sympathetic to environmental concerns

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of teamwork and working to deadlines
  • Experience in facilities management or a related field
  • 'IOSH managing safely' qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Good interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, systems, and procedures
  • Computer literacy
