Orthopaedic Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team on Ward 31 at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a key member of our orthopaedic trauma nursing team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating patient care, completing thorough nursing assessments, and participating in audits to ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead junior members of the team and provide guidance and support as needed
- Manage patient care on the ward, including coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care
- Support the Ward Manager in achieving goals and objectives related to patient outcomes and length of stay

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing, preferably in an orthopaedic or surgical setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Nursing Diploma/Degree
- Registered Nurse
- Experience at band 5 level or equivalent in a surgical/orthopaedic environment
- Experience in acute nursing
