About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Marine Design Engineer to join our team at Expleo Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the conceptualization and development of innovative marine design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of complex marine vessels and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and innovation in our engineering practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve our technical services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Marine Technology, Naval Engineering), or equivalent experience in the naval and commercial ship design, construction, or maintenance domain.
  • Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (RINA, IMarEST, IMechE).
  • Recognised as a Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council (or an ability to achieve within 6 months).
