Strategic Growth Director for Flagship Open Programmes

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Growth Director to lead our flagship open programmes at Interaction - Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will drive business growth, innovation, and success by fostering a collaborative high-performance culture that achieves ambitious targets.

About the Role:

  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective participants on assigned programmes, engaging in active sales techniques to guide them through the prospect to applicant cycle.
  • Ensure that assigned programmes meet or exceed participant, revenue, and profit targets by monitoring the sales pipeline and strategically planning marketing and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development teams to identify opportunities, understand market trends and competitors, and refine programme offerings.
  • Plan and execute promotional events for flagship programmes, showcasing the distinctiveness of the offerings and attracting high-quality participants.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to ensure the programmes in the Flagship Pod are effectively represented online, highlighting the Cambridge-distinctiveness of the portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Business development:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective participants.
    • Ensure programme targets are met or exceeded.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams.
  • Programme and portfolio management:
    • Explore and roll-out new Open Programmes within the Flagship pod.
    • Lead programme improvements.
    • Work with the Open Learning Designer to align programme design with excellence criteria.
  • Internal and external relationship management:
    • Develop trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders.
    • Liaise with faculty throughout the programme life cycle.
    • Maintain relationships with alumni and develop potential future business.
  • People management and leadership:
    • Lead the Flagship Pod, taking responsibility for programmes meeting targets.
    • Provide clear direction, mentoring, and line management for team members.
    • Foster a collaborative high-performance environment.
  • Administration and reporting:
    • Maintain oversight of programmes to ensure required administrative tasks are completed.
    • Update and maintain participant and client information in the CRM system.
    • Implement risk management strategies.

About You:

  • A degree, postgraduate degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial business development experience, including interfacing with customers in consultative selling.
  • Broad understanding of business planning and selling skills, programme development, and presentation competencies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer relationship management experience.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of challenges faced at executive levels of an organisation and business awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail while keeping track of larger strategic perspective.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, flexible, organised, and team-oriented.
  • Availability to travel internationally.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
