Rail Training Centre Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Welding Training Manager to join our team at Shorterm Group. As specialists in the rail rolling stock industry, we have become a trusted supplier to many of the rail industry's largest and well-known names.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, including helping to develop the facilities and framework for the training centre. This will involve assessing necessary skills of new and current welding members of staff, identifying and assessing training needs for the welding team, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance.
Key Requirements:
- 10 years' experience as a welder fabricator, with experience as a trainer running a training school/centre
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and sheet metal fabrication
- Competent in welding processes MIG, MAG, TIG and MMA to ISO 9606-1 and ISO 9606-2
- Rail experience and knowledge of BE EN 15085 would be an advantage
- Ability to train and encourage trainees to develop skills they already possess
- Competent in using Word and Excel
Salary Range: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum based on location and experience. Please note that this is an estimated range and actual salary may vary depending on individual circumstances.
