Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our Operations Group in Witney. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for providing innovative solutions to complex automation problems, collaborating with engineering colleagues, and working on systems for motion control equipment, interpreting PLC codes, debugging issues, and aiding continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement control systems
  • Interpret and debug PLC codes to resolve issues
  • Aid in continuous improvement activities to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Stay up-to-date with current developments in control systems technology

Requirements:

  • Experience working on complex automation projects
  • Developing solutions to complex automation needs
  • Fault finding and modification to PLC programs for automated machinery
  • Experience with Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000
  • Basic cyber security knowledge
  • Experience working with Oracle database
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or Python
