Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Are you a skilled Automation Engineer looking to drive continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment? Do you have experience with Automation systems, PLCs, Robotics, and Hydraulics? We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver continuous improvement and machinery projects into production
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from £100k to £1m
  • Implement new factory machinery and processes
  • Work with a high-volume manufacturing area with complex products
Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or Degree)
  • Minimum 2 years in a production engineering role
  • Experience with Automation systems, PLCs, Robotics, and Hydraulics
  • Proven track record of working with internal teams to meet production and quality targets
  • Proven people management skills, with the ability to develop others
Desirable:
  • Experience of designing and implementing a factory or production line
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems ISO
  • Experience of programming CNC machine tools or PLC systems or Industrial Robots
