Job Title: System Engineer - DCS & Safety

Yokogawa UK Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Engineer (DCS & Safety) to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to provide first-class support and technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of DCS and safety systems. The successful candidate will work closely with our customer-centric team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. DCS software configuration and testing
  2. Alarm rationalization and EEMUA 191 compliance
  3. Continuous process control and batch process software programming
  4. Functional safety SIL classifications and SIF calculations
  5. Design and implementation of safety systems, including function block programming and hardware interface
  6. Modification of existing safety systems and impact analysis
  7. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  8. Conducting internal testing, executing or leading Factory Acceptance Tests
  9. Site installation and commissioning, including Site Acceptance Tests
  10. Ensuring system handover and project closure
Requirements:
  1. Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering or process-related subject
  2. Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial automation environment
  3. Hold a TUV Functional Safety Certificate or demonstrable knowledge of
  4. Practical knowledge of Management Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001
  5. Full UK driving license

  2. Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, with flexibility to meet customer and business needs

This is a permanent position, with our offices based in Aberdeen, Scotland. We provide a healthy work-life balance with a blend of working from home and the office. There will be a requirement to travel to customer sites in Europe, the UK, offshore, and overseas as required for each project.
