Technical Application Engineer Position

About the Opportunity:
Our client is looking for a Technical Application Engineer who can effectively provide CAD/CAM technical support, training, and applications engineering to our customers. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier technical support to our customers, both remotely and onsite.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and in-person
- Ensure troubleshooting technical issues are dealt with in a timely manner
- Offer online, onsite, and in-house training courses to customers
- Install CAD/CAM software into manufacturing facilities
- Ensure customers are fully set up on all systems implemented
- Tailor software systems in line with customers' manufacturing requirements
- Generate programs to test machine functionality
- Provide technical sales support, demonstration, and competitive analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in CAD/CAM technical support, training, and applications engineering
- Any SQL experience is desirable
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and cutting machinery
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Salary: The salary for this role is £45-50k per annum, depending on experience.
