Job Title: Asset Maintenance Lead

Role: Lead Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Team Leader (70% management & 30% hands on - biased to management)

Salary: £49,000 to £53,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for further progression and training opportunities.

Hours: Monday to Friday, weekly rotation of 6:00am to 2:30pm AND 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer / Maintenance Team Leader to work within a large industrial company at one of their automated factories.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting into the Engineering Manager, your role is to oversee all maintenance and technical work in the factory, both proactively and reactively, leading a maintenance and technical team of up to 15 staff members on shift.
  • This role requires a "hands-on" approach with an estimated split of 70% management and 30% hands-on. When the going gets tough, this person will still have an active role in supporting the machinery as needed.
  • You will focus on bringing a sense of positivity and enthusiasm to the team, driving a continuous improvement culture, and providing support, guidance, training, and delegation of work to the team.
  • Responsibilities include planning and scheduling of work, utilising and maximising the CMMS system, minimising downtime, establishing and combating recurring problems, and providing necessary training to engineers through upskilling and development.

Requirements

  • Management experience of a team of Engineers in roles such as Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, etc.
  • Experience in a similar environment, such as Production, Manufacturing, Automation, or Industrial.
  • Strong staff management skills;
  • Familiarity with a maintenance management system and delegation of work to a team.
  • Exposure to and promotion of Health & Safety and Compliance Procedures.
  • Computer literate.
