About the Role

SPEEDY is the UK's leading hire provider, offering a wide range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services. We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician Trainee to join our team as an Apprentice Lifting Engineer.

In this dynamic role, you'll contribute to maintaining the productivity of our workshop and ensuring that our equipment is always available for our customers. You'll be part of our busy depot operations team, working closely with experienced colleagues to provide exceptional customer service.

Training and Development:

  • Completion of a Level 3 Lifting Technician apprenticeship standard
  • Ongoing training and development through block placements and internal modules

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE Grade 4/Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English
  • Able to work at height and confident with machinery, mechanics, and electrics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
