MMP Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Options Appraisal Surveyor to join our team based in the West Midlands.
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £52,500 per annum, plus benefits.
The Role:
- To work closely with the Head of Assets and Sustainability to develop and implement the options appraisal programme, setting targets for underperforming assets.
- To ensure a comprehensive asset review and options appraisal process across our client's asset portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the maintenance, update, and verification of the Asset Performance Evaluation (APE) model to enable our client to review assets effectively, utilizing existing data to maximize the model's potential.
- Manage the stock condition surveying workstream, creating flexible capacity to deliver stock condition surveys at scale, either internally or externally sourced.
- Assist in collecting, validating, and analyzing stock condition data necessary to implement our asset management strategy.
- Lead the appraisal of assets to provide recommendations and solutions for future use, considering retention, refurbishment, repurposing, and release of assets in the portfolio.
- Critically analyze assets to support business and asset management strategies, both at the scheme and individual levels.
- Monitor the performance of decision outcomes, including lessons learned.
- Review housing and property-related data, including reactive and planned budgets, void information, as well as other financial and non-financial performance measures to assess our client's stock.
- Utilize tools to provide Net Present Value (NPV) calculations and ability to model scenarios, identify underperforming assets, and develop options for investment or divestment.
- Knowledge of various income streams/product types, including social rent, Care & Support, and a basic understanding of grant-related income to make appropriate recommendations, including development opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver reports on outcomes from stock appraisals to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, executive leadership, and the board.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, promoting collaborative and positive working processes and a culture of customer service excellence.
