Transforming Compliance and Legal Operations in Western Europe
British American Tobacco UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance and Legal Operations Manager to lead the Compliance agenda and ensure the effective delivery of Legal Operations in Western Europe. As a key member of the Western Europe Legal Leadership Team, you will support the Area Head of Legal in strategic leadership of the function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal process guidelines, templates, and workflows to manage risk and optimize the use of legal resources.
- Lead in the assessment of suitability and implementation of technical solutions for use in Western Europe Legal.
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of Compliance activities across Western Europe, including the rollout of global and regional initiatives.
- Manage legal team resources by designing and implementing processes and effective use of technology and human resources.
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience in an in-house legal and/or compliance department or relevant operational management role, with a consistent track record of risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including money laundering, antitrust law, data protection, and sanctions.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and systems.
- Strong partner management skills, with the ability to plan, anticipate, and run priorities to optimize output and enhance the effectiveness of commercial solutions.
